Man killed by girlfriend thought she’d been dead for weeks

A 30-year-old woman who killed her estranged boyfriend and later herself Wednesday had convinced family and friends, including the victim, that she committed suicide a couple weeks ago, police said a day after the murder-suicide in southeast Portland.

I find it interesting that there was a restraining order “between” them. In the past when I read about men abusing women, the woman always has a restraining order “against” the abusive male. Can the woman not be the abuser?
